Outings include day hikes, backpack overnight hikes, overnight car/tent camping trips, and trail maintenance.
All outings are open to members and guests, unless otherwise noted due to restrictions on size of group.
Please review outing description for difficulty rating (easy, moderate, extreme) and plan accordingly.
Remember trip coordinators are member volunteers who plan outings for your enjoyment.
To participate in day hikes, backpack overnight hikes, overnight camping trips, trail maintenance. YOU MUST notify the trip coordinator in advance that you will attend.
Should you not do this you may arrive to find the trip cancelled or changed to a different location.
Trip coordinator may also cancel an outing if nobody calls to participate.
Your participation is important once you agree to do an outing.

May 2 Trail Maintenance - Must call Kenny (205)253-0490 or Howard (205)253-0490) for location.
May 3 Club meeting at Vestavia Library beginning at 2:00pm. Sever weather played a part in few members being able to attend. Those in attendance did discuss a few plans for coming events.
May 16 & 17 Overnight on the trail at Borden Creek in Sipsey. Meet at Jack's in Double Springs by 9:00am on Saturday. You will probably need some bug spray. Around 5 miles in and out. Contact Kenny at 205-678-6274 for additional information or to confirm.
May 23 Contact Kenny for re-blazing parts of Pinhoti. Wear appropriate clothes since blazing can be messy if planning on being a part of this much needed work effort.
